2009 Charitable Donations

As a member of 1% for the Planet, Trailspace donates at least 1 percent of its annual sales to environmental organizations. In 2009, Trailspace supported the following environmental and nonprofit organizations:

logo The Access Fund is the national advocacy organization that keeps U.S. climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment. It supports climbers nationwide in all forms of climbing: rock, ice, mountaineering, and bouldering.
logo American Hiking Society is the only national organization dedicated to promoting and protecting America's hiking trails, the natural areas that surround them, and the hiking experience itself.
 
logo The Appalachian Trail Conservancy is dedicated to the conservation of the 2,175-mile Appalachian National Scenic Trail, a 250,000-acre greenway extending from Maine to Georgia.
 
logo The Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance, Trailspace's local land trust, is dedicated to conserving the lands, water quality, and natural heritage of Maine's Belgrade Lakes region.
 
logo The Conservation Alliance engages outdoor businesses to fund, through grants, community-based conservation projects that help protect wild places for their habitat and recreation values.
 
logo Leave No Trace is an international nonprofit dedicated to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through education, research, and partnerships. LNT promotes leaving the places you enjoy as good or better than you found them.
 
logo The Maine ATC is a volunteer nonprofit that manages and maintains 267 miles of the Appalachian Trail in Maine, its facilities, and corridor.
