As a backcountry site, we feel a responsibility to be good stewards of the outdoor environment we encourage our fellow community members to explore. As a member of 1% for the Planet since 2006, Trailspace donates at least 1 percent of its annual sales to environmental organizations.
In the past 12 months we’ve supported the following environmental and outdoor nonprofit organizations:

The Access Fund is the national advocacy organization that keeps U.S. climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment. It supports climbers nationwide in all forms of climbing: rock, ice, mountaineering, and bouldering. |

The American Alpine Club is a community of climbers who have banded together to sustain the climbing way of life, protect the places they climb, and watch out for one another through a worldwide rescue service. |

American Hiking Society is the only national organization dedicated to promoting and protecting America's hiking trails, the natural areas that surround them, and the hiking experience itself. |

American Rivers protects and restores America’s rivers for the benefit of people, wildlife, and nature. |

The Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance, Trailspace's local land trust, is dedicated to conserving the lands, water quality, and natural heritage of Maine's Belgrade Lakes region. |

The Conservation Alliance engages outdoor businesses to fund, through grants, community-based conservation projects that help protect wild places for their habitat and recreation values. |

Leave No Trace is an international nonprofit dedicated to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through education, research, and partnerships. LNT promotes leaving the places you enjoy as good or better than you found them. |

The National Parks Conservation Association works to protect and enhance America's National Park System for present and future generations through advocacy, education, and legislation. |
