New Footwear for 2010, Part 1: Boots and Climbing Shoes
New technologies are enhancing a host of outdoor footwear in 2010. Among the innovations shoe shoppers will see in the months ahead: grippier outsoles, more durable cushioning, and asymmetrical and form-fitting lacing designs.
Today, Trailspace is previewing new boots for hiking, backpacking, and mountaineering along with a sampling of the latest climbing shoes. Next Monday we'll devote a page to trail shoes, multi-sport shoes, and miscellaneous footwear; then, we'll close Jan. 18 with trail running shoes and outdoor socks.
