Enter the Trailspace photo contest March 15-31

Starting Monday, March 15, Trailspace members can enter their own original photos in the first Trailspace member photo contest. Submissions will be accepted through Wednesday, March 31, in three categories: outdoors landscape, outdoors nature and wildlife, and people outdoors.

National Wildlife Week March 15-21, 2010

Mount Washington loses wind speed record

For nearly 62 years, Mount Washington held the world record for the fastest wind gust ever recorded on the surface of the Earth. According to the World Meteorological Organization, that record was toppled in 1996 in Australia with a record of 253 mph.
