Background:

Lumber jacks don’t like to cook, so they have a rule: he who complains about the meal gets stuck as cook until someone else complains.  So once there was a crafty lumberjack who was tired of cooking, and decided to entrap someone to replace him at the hearth.  So he goes out into the forest and finds a perfect sized moose flop, brings it back to camp, and proceeds to encase it in a lovely pie shell.  That night when desert was served all were impressed – it looked just like grandma cooked it.  But when the first lumberjack took a bite he loudly exclaimed, “my God – Its moose turd pie!”  Then noting he had been duped added, “But it is cooked to perfection!”

My God Moose turd Pie!

Fresh baked in my teflon dish

Good thing it won’t stick

Here are a few example haiku, showing the 5-7-5 structure.  Haiku don't have to be funny or rhyme.

Example 1:

A pillar of fire

Arches skyward, eternal

Darn stove exploded!

Example 2:

Outside, a white world

Inside, safe warm coffee Steams

My tent, like a womb!
