If I heard that buzzing noise coming up the trail towards me I would wait behind a tree and drop kick it off of a cliff.
Then again it would be my luck that it would move out of the way when I tried.
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Thanks, now that sound is stuck in my head.

Haha, yeah, sorry. I guess they'd need to fine tune the approach before going into "production" :).

I thought it was some type of weed eater for a minute.

That thing, impressive as it is, gives me the creeps. Glad I won't be alive in 60 years. I don't think I'd like the world too much the way it's going. How many pack animals could they have raised with the money they've spent on development so far? Plus it's a defense company, so a good chance it's tax dollars. #%&!

If I heard that buzzing noise I would run. It sounds like a large irritated swarm of bees.

if it's a defense contractor, chances are that sucker will be toting a 7.62 mm machine gun someday. kind of tilts the balance if you are in a dispute over the most appealing tent site.
add a rocket-propelled grenade to your gear list so you can dispatch the annoying mechanical insect.

If its for defense its not very quiet lol. I wonder if it is powered by Stihl, or Husqvarna.
Hmmmm...

Cool stuff.
I like the idea of loading my 400 lb. pack on it. Fear I would shoot it due to the relentless BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ tho!
As for the newer model.....LOL! ....What a couple of idiots!

Real creepy. I was in the AF for 22 years and saw some creepy stuff but I had to sign one of the non-disclosure statements which is in effect for 75 years. The buzzing will eliminated when they start using this thing for military use. I'm betting on a small nuclear driven core to power it. Like that movie, "The Red Planet". It did look funny walking on the ice though. I look like that sometimes if you imagine trekking poles as legs! Weaponize it, put some artificial intelligence in that and they will have a hunter/seeker they could use in urban warfare when there aren't enough soldiers to go around.

I am not sure that the newer model could carry 400lbs.

A Defense Department R&D project? Probably potty trained to use that $600 Air Force toilet seat. Military Intelligence; it all makes sense now... They need to move the Pentagon out of Washington, the location seems to affect one's thinking.

You would have no bear problems with the noise that this thing makes
