Hello
Does anyone here know anything about these sleeping bags? Are they worth anything? Thanks.

The Softie series bags are the ones you should look at. They are fantastic bags - I don't know of any popular bag that is so warm and comfortable at the same small size and weight. They pack so small you can just put them inside the main pack compartment with all your other gear.
I have had a code green softie-6 (Kestrel) for about a year and have no complaints - in fact it is warmer than I expected. I probably could get by with a softie-3 (Merlin). I like the code green series because the color dosen't show smudges as much as other colors.
They are very well designed and assembled and seem to wear very well.
You will be more than satisfied if you get one.

Here are a couple of supply sources and info -

I don't but thought you might be interested in "WIGGY'S" sleeping bags. I just bought one and they are EXCELLENT bags. The best I've ever seen made. Unusual quality and very warm for their temperature ratings. And they stuff in a compression sack very small like a down bag. You can find them online. Or call 1-800-748-1827 and they will send you a free catalog. Good luck

I am curious as to foot space in the snugpak bags. I can't locate any measurement/dimension specifications anywhere, only chest width and overall length. Do they have a foot box?

Dear Mike, I recieved an email telling me to look at your post, i have just measured the foot of the softie sleeping bags for you. 34" or 87cm around the smallest part of the foot. if you have any further questions you can email snugpak on info@snugpak.com and they will be pleased give you good honest advise. Also we will look at adding the foot size to our website, i sure it was on there once.
Kindest regards
snugpak
