Well, guys. It's the Marmot Merlin (Thank you Mr. G. for your input on this bag)! I put a lot of thought into this purchase.
Looks like the "Shlimmer" is still lurking and has nothing better to do than to show his/her stupidity. I didn't appreciate your dorky comments. What a worm!
Anyway, thanks for all the input I received from everyone who responded to my post. I am certain that I will be much pleased with my purchase.

Hope you took no offense to any of that verbal stupidity
Personally I don't care what species of human you are.
I'm actually a Border Collie who has gotten tired of chasing balls, so I learned to type.

No, Ed, I didn't take offense at what Mr. Observer had to say. It is just strange that several negative comments have been made about me here. I'm here to learn, just like others who post a question. I guess ignoring the comments is the sensible thing to do.
Anyway, the bag should serve me a long time if I take care of it properly.

We men still have a few hanging around who like to pound rocks together...
Ignoring the comments is the right and the intelligent thing to do. Don't lower yourself to their level.
I have a hypothesis that those slinging the negative comments are really a bit intimidated by you. Even though our words here are in reality nothing but electrons and magnetism...they read and get scared.
You'll love the bag. I get to use mine again at the end of February. Going back to my island for three nights.
Scott M...any plans of heading over there?

I am sure you will be happy with the Marmot. As noted, my Marmot Mistral (basically a much earlier version) has served me well for many years. Take care of it, as I am sure you will from your posts, and yours will last, too.
One of these days, OGBO will make it to the right-hand side of the continent, and hopefully hike a few miles with some of you folks. Don't think I will camp with Ed, though, at least not between March and October - mid-December, maybe, on the coldest night of the year down that way.

Oh, I hear ya!
March thru October: I'm in the water or under the A/C and out of the woods.
Steamy, swarmy semi-jungles aren't my cup of tea.
Early November thru Early March are very nice.
You should check out that island, Bill. At least once.
Very peacefull.
If you did go with me, I'm wondering if we both would see Moses.

Agree. I spend a bit of time myself trying to sift thru discussion groups to get to one that isn't - well - silly....and believe it or not, this one is good (most of the time. Good luck with your bag.
Weather's wet and cold, really dreary here. Must be time for a nice, long kayak ride....

Breaking rocks is fun, but watch out for "Arrow Head Shoulder"...

I assume you mean Cumberland Island...
I assume you mean Cumberland Island? Yes, I have reservations for May 7th I believe. Have to double check to see if that's right. Plan to go all the way to the north end this time and hike south. Everytime I've gone I've never camped north of Stafford Beach. I love stafford but feel I need to see Brickhill. I think we will hike all the way up in one day or maybe stay at Yankees Paradise to break the hike up.

Yes...........
I highly recommend Hickory Hill campsite over Yankee Paradise IF (notice the big if) you like to have an isolated campsite. Yankee is similiar to Stafford in that you always have next door neighbors. If you go to Yankee, you can get fresh water at Plum Orchard OR sulphur water at the well that is pretty much equidistant to Stafford and Yankee.
Any place on the north end of the island is an easy day hike from either campsite. Don't hike up the Main road. Great sight seeing if you go north via roller coaster and it's great fun to walk back in the dark.
Have fun!
