Well its cooling down in the Sierras finally. After a warm summer it felt good to have a down jacket on last night and some fleece pants. It was way too cold and windy to jump into the lake so summer skinny dipping season is over. Now I can hardly wait for snow. We got in a bit a free soloing on clean granite - mostly 5.7 crack and some friction. Lots of hunters in the hills - so wear orange hats and certainly leave the coonskin hat at home! (No the beaver fur coat is too heavy to backpack) I'll be in Tuolomne Meadows in the Yosemite high country next week - 10,000' I'm only taking a summer sleeping bag, but will have warm clothes fer sure.
