Badlands Solo Trip

Hi, everyone, I'm new here.

I'm planning a solo backpacking trip to the Badlands and Black Hills in September. One, I'm wondering who's been there and if you have any wisdom/thoughts you'd like to share. And two, specifically, does anyone have a definitive answer on the water situation in the Badlands? Is there any available? Is it treatable? The NPS website says not, because of mineral leaching, but I'm wondering.
