newbie!

Hey everyone. Thought that I would introduce myself after reading a multitude of the posts throughout the site. I have recently started backpacking after a few trips to Lost Maples, Big Bend and Guadalupe mountains national park. My first big trip was with GVI who does volunteer trips to help with conservation work. A little expensive for a college student but highly recommended ( if anyone is interested- http://www.gvi.co.uk/ ). I got to learn the basics of backpacking and got to track African predators in the mean time! This was probably the best experience in my life and I am excited to experience more.

With that brief introduction I was hoping that people would have some good suggestions of good places to go near Texas. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Joanna

There are a few birds of a feather on this page.

Just sort on down the list and you will find a few similar questions (such as Lost Maples) and some replies.
