When does 3 season hiking begin in NH?

The smart alec answer would be March 20th, but I'm really interested in backpacking the White Mountains again and was wondering when all the snow and ice clears as I only have 3 season gear, no snowshoes or crampons. Is there a website I can go to check the conditions or does someone know a general time period from experience?

Yes, Go to http://www.viewsfromthetop.com
it is NE hiking forum. Not sure what it's current new member policy is-sometimes it is closed to new members, but it has local and regional forums as well as a couple of general backpacking forums. Even if you can't join, I think you can read the forums and probably pick up some info on conditions.
