Nothing as heavy as Limmer's. Was sold Limmer's in the wrong size by the Limmer's in their store.

But back to boots. Looking at the Vasque Sundowner GTX but hear they are now made in China and are not as good.

So what's a good boot for light hiking? Keep in mind I am 6' 7" 250.

Wow, and I thought my foot was big! I am also 6'7", weight about 240 and wear a 14. Its hard to find companies that have big boots/shoes. Usually when I shop for boots I go to walkin shops and ask for whatever they have in a 14 and go from there.

Lowa, Merrell, Vasque, and Danner here to name a few.

The Lowa Ranger looks like a pretty nice boot and comes in a 15(3 colors too) and the Danners get pretty good feedback.
