As crazy as this may sound I had an odd experience a few years back. My buddy and I was walking on his newly acquired property(52 acres) in Wv and I noticed a footprint in the mud. It looked kinda like a very very large human footprint but it only had 4 toes?

My buddy saw it as well. With both of us having vast hunting backgrounds we were just left wondering. Neither of us had ever seen anything like it before.

I am not saying it was bigfoot or Chewbacca the Wookiee but honestly I have no idea what it was nor did he.

I look at it like this, we learn of new sea life all the time. Who knows whats out there in the backcountry.

I am pretty open-minded when it comes to this type of thing.

When I lived out in Washington state, I did a lot of looking, but never could find anything.  Do they taste like chicken?

I will believe in Bigfoot and UFOs when one is actually captured.

Man I only have four toes and big feet, but it wasn't me.

I look forward to hearing more of this story.

I say we organize a trip with some 'TrailSpacers' in Banff to see which of us truly are the resident 'Spacers.'

(probably me given I posted the link)

Yeah I've seen some things in my live I can't explain either. I certainly am with you on this one, Rick. My biggest fear, IF one of these claims were to be scientifically proven, would be the treatment of one of these creatures.

I am certain that these guys would become honorary Trailspace members with lots to contribute ;-)

Well if they do exist...they are apparently better at LNT than a lot of humans are.

Who knows, maybe they are just hikers who got lost and eventually morphed into a different species after eating roots, berries, and insects for a few weeks.

GPSR anyone?

I can't help but agree... then again it may not take much effort when compared to some peoples LNT practices.

<< Not a bigfoot believer.

Still though, anything that makes the wild places wilder has my support.

To all my firearm packing hikers, if you saw one would you shoot it?

I rarely carry while backpacking, but unless a creature initiated a life threatening attack, no.

Absolutely not, I don't handle firearms while drinking.
