A master craftsman in the world of surfboard shaping, Wayne Lynch learned from Torquay board designer Pat Morgan. Even in the early days Wayne had a futuristic imagination. A board of his from 1966 hangs in the Australian Surfing Museum in Torquay; it's a stumpy, deep-vee’d thing he designed in order to try barrel rolls, a move yet to be mastered by any stand-up surfer 35 years later. Through the 1980s and '90s his wonderfully clean designs were hunted down by numerous champion surfers worldwide; in 2000, with the help of investors, he formed a new label, Evolution, based in the San Diego area of California.

The Evo Fun Series is a range of boards designed by Lynch that are easy and fun to ride. They are thicker, wider and incorporate all the modern design elements. The plane shape curves are softer in the nose and tail creating more area at each end of the board than the high performance designs. This greatly improves paddling ability and the forward momentum of the surfboard, enabling the surfer to sit further outside with the long board crowd, run across flat spots with ease while retaining the performance of a shorter surfboard in the pocket. This Evo is for the surfer looking for something with a unique feeling to incorporate into their quiver for a wide range of wave conditions.

Apparently it's the "Board of the Stars" for whatever that means; check out the A-List roster of Hollywood elite that hold these poor boards captive in their Malibu beach homes. Please don't let this happen to this board; it needs love, attention and plenty of wax, sand and salt! And make sure it gets introduced to some pretty girls this summer!

This board is in great condition. Owner had sadly moved inland the summer after purchasing it and it has remained in covered, dry, clean indoor storage since. I know; I'm just as guilty of abandoning this beautiful board. So it's time for a new owner!
