How big is the large? Enough for sleeping bag then some?

The large is big enough to handle current generation winter sleeping bags and depending upon how tightly you want it stuffed, the compression straps will depress the bag even further perhaps allowing additional. Smaller or multiple items, then, would would fit nicely and again the overall size of the stuffed package can be adjusted with the compression straps. Hope this helps!
