Wanted:Trailwise Berkely Colin Fletcher Backpack

I once had a Trailwise external frame backpack that was the best ! If I could ever find one used in good condition I would buy it in an instant.

Are you looking for the 3/4 length bag, or the bag that runs the entire length of the frame?

I'm 6'2", I need a large and would take about the colin fletcher model or the model I used to have had an upper and lower compartment, side pockets, and a pocket on the front; I just can't remember the model name and number(those brain cells are long gone !)

I'm not familiar with the 3/4 length bag but it may be what I had. The one I had, had room to lash a sleeping bag onto the bottom. If that is what you mean by a 3/4 bag then that is what I had. I could probably dig up a picture, scan it in and send it to you if that would help. Thanks.

I have one hanging in my garage. It is blue and has the full back mesh and two long side pockets. Bought it in 1970 I think. It has a lower seperated compartment. Ah the memories.

I have one available for free, but it isn't in great condition. See my ad on May 31. It has seen a lot of miles of backpacking, as it was my father's before I snitched it from him. I don't know if you'll find one in great condition after so many years. Maybe you could find new straps & a waistbelt that will fit. However, I looked for a long time, and couldn't find any, which is why I'm getting rid of it.

Re: Wanted:Trailwise Berkely Colin Fletcher Backpack

I am looking for a Trailwise Model 72 backpack.
Full length sack model desired,
BUT
I will consider any frames with full-mesh back panel, yoke shoulder straps, and full-circle hipbelt.
Thanks,
