Obscure Tent Footprints

F.S. Three Mountain Hardwear and One North Face tent footprints.

(1) MH Laser footprint

(2) MH Bat Ray 2 footprint

(3) MH Thru Hiker tent footprint

(4) NF Mountain 24 tent footprint (would also fit Mountain 25 tent, but won't work for "fly only pitch"

I am asking $20 each including shipping to Continental U.S.

I spotted a tent similar to the one in your photo a few years ago and I am interested in finding out more about the tent. Is it a Moss tent? What is it called? Is there any hope of finding one for sale?

astronsprite, i'm sorry to be remiss in answering you, I don't often check back on old threads. The tent in the photo is indeed a Moss tent. It's a Moss Optimum 600. Chances of finding one are slim, but you never know... The Optimum series(200, 350, 600) date from around 1983-84. The number in the model name designates the square footage of the tent interior; with the cost of an Optimum 600 in excess of $5000. The last time I saw one for sale was February of 2007 on eBay; the final price for an Optimum 200 was $2247, but that price might be low compared to what one would sell for now as a Moss Encore ($835 new) just sold for $1550, and an Olympic ($495) sold for $736.50.

Re: Obscure Tent Footprints

I have a MH Thru-hiker that I've had for nearly a decade. I have kept it in great shape, but I fear it's time will come. I love the tent and was saddened by the thought of it's demise. I recently was hanging out at the local climbing wall/sporting goods shop and found that they had a Thru-hiker which had been sitting on the shelf for about 9 years collecting dust, but was otherwise brand new. I was so thrilled at the discovery that I bought it immediately. Now that I have a fresh start with the Thru-hiker I am looking to get a footprint. Of course they do not make it anymore. I would gladly buy yours. Please contact me as soon as you can via e-mail: rayhocking@gmail.com

Thanks,

Ray
