I love that old video.  That was the first video I ever saw about rock climbing.  I think I was eight or so when I saw it on TV. 

 Is it me or does the narrator sound like he could be related to the guy who narrated the Honey Badger video? His grandpa maybe?

Very cool to see them using the Kletterschuhes. Those would have  been top of the line technology for rock climbers back in 1938. The standard before that was the rigid sole boot that was the forerunner of our modern mountaineering boot. Kind of hard to smear, although good for edging.

OGBO is Bill S. To see what Mallory and Irine wore, watch The Wildest Dream. It is Conead Ankor's documentary about their climb. They replicate the clothing and wear it in part of their attempt to recreate the original climb.
