Anyone have any info on the approach - time, length-- for the Cosmic Wall? (in Castle Crags State Park, Northern CA.)

Any other thoughts on the climb or places to crash the night before the climb would be appreciated. (sleep at trail by vehicle??) Any vehicle break-in problems at trailhead??
Thanks Bob J

Hey- the approach to Cosmic is about 2 hours uphill at a relatively mellow pace--little over an hour at hyper speed. Most is on the trail to castle dome with the last 1/4 mile or so off trail. You can camp in the campground for 10$? a night, but not at trailhead. Or you can camp on PCT nearby if you want to hike gear in. Not too many folks around there this time-o-year. Fun climb, enjoy.

Actually got to go down there just recently, it was great. Climbed in T-shirt and shorts. Got some good tips on the trail through the manzanita so appraoch was not bad, just a tad long (couple hours). Beautiful area.
