This thread is for comments on the article "New feature: Was it helpful?"

A couple of weeks ago we quietly added a simple question for members at the bottom of every gear review (and forum post) on Trailspace: "was this helpful?" By simply clicking "yes" or "no" you can help make Trailspace more useful for everyone. How? Eventually the most useful reviews -- as determined by your votes -- will rise to the top of a product page, while the least useful will sink to the bo...

I think that's a good idea, and should also encourage the reviewer to put more effort into the review.

Good point. We could do either the same "was this helpful" option or a "like/dislike" for blog posts and articles.

Well, I was just being a cheeky son-of-a-gun. I find the conversation in the related threads from articles very helpful (and appreciate the integration between the two mediums). A "like/dislike" on the blog and articles may make it too easy to judge them quickly... make people write some thoughts down!
