I hope I am not being redundent but was admiring the nice new yellow stipe for Moderators and then noticed our individual tags were gone -- Full Member, Junior, Senior and the like. Did I miss something?
I gotta disagree with ya on that one ocal. There are members, certain specific ones come to mind, that post a lot. Most of those posts are just to hear themselves speak (type?, post?). Very little helpful advice, just a matter of quantity rather than quality.
I did notice the new shiny moderator tabs but blindly missed the removed member status. Good eye GiftO!

3045 woo-hoo... Sorry Jake, I had too(goes back to coloring books.)
The New/Junior/Full/Senior titles were based on a simple combination of post count and join date, so it seemed a little redundant to have all three pieces of information there.
We removed the titles to make way for the new badges. Currently badges are limited to staff, moderators, brand representatives, and retailers. But we will be expanding that to also include badges to recognize top contributors. As Alicia hinted at in the How's Your Reputation post, that will be based on more than just a simple post count.
Yeah...Like MODERATOR fits....as if you have ever exercized moderation.
Rick you been slammed!
By the way can my tag be red and say something to the effect, (*&$*$*#) No good lazy non trail report post-en blank blank blank. You know something that really fits me. :D By the way I finally did post it! God have mercy on those who read it!
For what its worth, Jake, I am hard of hearing - that is both why I don't know what I am talking about, as well as the fact I don't post just to hear myself speak. Sorry if bore you, but if you would read my prose when it is fresh drafted, you'd realize it is intended as bed time reading, and will send you right to sleep. Nitie nite, sleep tight :)
I noticed it was gone, but then again, I get paid a lot of money to "notice" things. Don't miss it, don't think it was an accurate reflection of status. Like some have said, those that have nothing better to do and respond to almost every post with a "wow" or "Huh?" or even five paragraphs of pointless dribble, climb the ladder and become somehow "senior" to those that have been around for years and when they post, contribute something meaningful.
I think the "joined date" and Post count are fine. I've been wishing for years though that there could be some indicator of the Town/State we live in or something. Often reading peoples posts I start wondering where they are from due to what they are talking about... would be nice to glance over and have an easy revelation.
Like what Mike is suggesting too. Some way to personalize our space here, though I guess that is what our Names and Avatars are for.
In the end I'm just glad those that donate their time here are thinking about how to improve things and continue to evolve Trailspace.
Sorry boys (Ed and Rick) but I regret to inform you that I find your posts both informative and sometimes humerous.
Yes, but then give a monkey enough paint and canvases and and sooner or later he'll paint a Mona Lisa. Thanks for bearing with my other 1999 flop posts.

Claric...chill dude...geeze. If you really fear the online dominance gained or perceived to have been gained by some anonymous entity in a forum...lithium is cheap! In fact, whether they have value or not some people simply like em. They truly do no damage to anyone or anything. My question simply asked where did they go. Everything in life has titles and a pecking order whether acknowledged or not. People's standing in this forum has nothing to do with the titles they held....well....other than OGBO. He is like obi wan kenobi!
Although, I should add that I am touched by your concern for my self-confidence. Don't worry... it is quite secure and lives well out of the reach of medication or online forums. :)

I tried self medication once, or was it self cannibalization? Either way the side effects outweighed the benefits.
PPine, the "titles" referred to were simple designations of "new member," "junior member," "full member," and "senior member." They loosely indicated the length of time and amount of contribution that a person had made.
