I have a silicone cup that has tasted like ginger and corriander ever since I let a few spoonfuls of curry sit in it overnight.

I've tried filling it up with white vinegar and letting that soak for a day, and that helped, but there is still a faint aftertaste.

Any suggestions?

Baking soda - let it sit overnight and the taste goes away.

Probably don't need that much.  Maybe a couple of teaspoons and fill it with water.  If that doesn't work than try a little more.

This gives me hope that one day I'll be able to drink coffee out of that cup without sniffing my nose at the ginger bite...
