Adding protective rubber coating to boot toe

I have a pair of Sundowners that take the most damage in the toe area. I was curious if anyone had any experience with any spray, paint, or glue on rubber like coatings.

The commercial products that I've found are those big plastic glue on protectors.

I'm thinking more along the lines of something that looks like what you find on the Vasque Wasatch or the Zamberlan Tofane.

Thanks.

Thank Rick-Pittsburgh. I can't believe I didn't think to check on climbing websites. I'll definitely look into this.

Shoe Goo works well on toes of boots. I always coat the toes of the steel-toe (hard toe) boots I wear at work.  Makes them last longer than the rest of the boot.  Just smear a layer over the toe and let them dry (outside).

No problem, it can look a lil rough after it dries but if ya apply it a lil thick you can always smooth out the finished job with a bit of fine grit sandpaper.

 My thoughts, too, Brian.

I actually have a gallon-can of the stuff.   Put it on my VW Vanagon's bumpers.   Can be brushed or sprayed on.  Am thinking of applying it to the rocker-panels, and fender-flares.

It is essentially pulverized / ground rubber (w/ neoprene, also), in a suspension base / carrier.

Some companies are spraying it in colors on speaker-boxes for PA-systems.
