I will be spending four months in South East Asia and much of it will be backpacking carrying anywhere from 25-55lbs depending on the excursion. There will also be times where I will be base camping and doing day hikes, but I have good trail shoes. I am looking for a new pair of boots for the backpacking parts. I am wondering what people think about buying water proof boots like the Kayland Vertigo High which fits very well versus something in the vein of a high top trail runner, like the Montrail Namche (though this particular model doesn't fit me).
All thoughts are welcomed.
