REI Taj vs. Sierra Designs Antares

So my girlfriend says she wants to come camping with me. Great news except that my North Face Tandem 23 is a bit too cramped for her, me, and my dog. I've been doing research and have narrowed down my selections to the REI Taj and the Sierra Designs Antares.

We would be doing a mix of car camping and backpacking and both tents have ample room for us and our gear. I was leaning towards the Antares because it looks like it could accommodate a third person more easily, but then I read the negative reviews about it on this site...

Anyone have any opinions or experience with these tents? Thanks.
