Re: 3 season tent
Gear Selection Forum
Thanks for the long, thoughtfull reply.
Youre opinion about the all mesh inner tents are thoughtful and logical.
I understand the pole issue and as for condensation, it can be overcome by ventilation.
However, in many tents which I looked into in trailspace.com, the fly is lack of ventilation holes, and while closed against the rain, the fly is sealed.
The only ventilation option is to open slightly the vestibule zipper from below.
I seriously thinking of Henry Shires tarptent Rainbow since it is light, but have 3 seasoned tent adventage as well (roomy, have considered headspace, durable, has good ventilation, and bath-tab floor) but it is single walled silnaylon tent.
It do have a vestibule and a mash door, and even a ventilation vent on the top, which makes it interesting and its not so expansive as you expect.
It eather that or I'll go for the seedhouse (SL if I'll find a good sale), or the Grand mesa (Kelty) which has less mesh then the seedhouse.
DWR spray-on is a great idea! beating extra cash and weight of the 5000mm floor.
thanks, youre post has vital information to be considered.
