Has anyone reviewed this daypack? I am interested in it but need some feedback. I am looking for something that can be used to carry nursing books as well as switch to a day trip to the mountains for hiking.

From what I see in the link provided above it has not yet been reviewed here. That is not to say that someone out there in the land of Trailspace hasn't used this pack.
First and foremost what is it about the Clear Creek that has caught your eye?
Next question, when going on a dayhike what kind of items are you going to be carrying? This will have alot to do with what type of volume you will need in a daypack.
In the warmer seasons you may not carry as much on a dayhike as you would during the colder seasons(warmer clothing typically=bulkier clothing.)

True. It seemed to be lighter and I thought maybe that would be good for a beginner.

Christy - check out the gear review sections on Trailspace, and go to the pack section. Specify the search criteria on the right for price, and try to find a highly rated pack for a good price. Also simply typing into google "mountainsmith Clear Creek 20 pack reviews" can bring up a bunch of results.

gear reviews are a good source here on this site and others too. But remember to drop the top and bottom few percent to better assess the average of all reviews.

I looked at and reviewed the Helena. I do like what I read. I appreciate all the feedback.
