Which North Face Tent should i get...
So i have a NF VE-24 that i've had for a number of years now (going on 30...) and NF said I could trade it in and get around 40% off a new tent.
I plan on hiking all over the Southeast, mainly pisgah, ashville, etc.
Now, I've been looking at the Roadrunner 22, Merlin 33, and a couple others... I was going to get a VE25 but 1) i feel its overkill for NOrthcarolina and 2) it weighs a metric ton...
so which NF tent should i get?

I don't know about the others, but the VE25 is a big heavy 3 person mountaineering tent. I doubt you'd need that in NC; plus it won't be very airy in summer and weighs almost 12 pounds. I'd really think about choosing one of their 3 season tents-it would much more versatile for what it sounds like you'd be doing-and even the heavier ones are half the weight of the VE25.

A friend of mine has a Roadrunner. He really likes it.
