does anybody make a good tent anymore???$ 400.oo or less
Ive been looking for all season tent that has a height over 6 feet.that has good or great reviews, I dont want any thing with the large open screen areas that need a rain fly .My last tent was cabelas outback lodge 10x10 .. it had lousy front zipper..a lot of rain, it leaked very bad, even seam sealed..Im leaning toward timberline outfitter 6.Is it worth buying for around $360??

Yes they bloody well do. I don't really do currency conversions but all US tents are about the same price in dollars as UK £. For £400 you could get a really good terranova or perhaps a north face merlin 33? There are also some mountain hardware tents if you want something alternative.

A Timberline Outfitter is an excellent tent. I assume you are in the US. Check out www.campmor.com and go to the family tent section. I have something similar to the Eureka Equinox 6 as well as an Eureka Alpine Meadows 6 (no longer made, but a version of the Timerline) and both are great for family car camping. I like the Eureka Sunrise series, but I don't like fiberglass poles, so that rules them out. Campmor will have the lowest every day price around.

Ditto the Eurekas. I have a 2-person and like it although it hasn't rained on me yet; bought it on closeout last year from ccoutdoors, about $110. Believe it or not, you can get a good tent on the cheap. I grabbed a Coleman Kenai last year at Costco for $35 (instant $15 rebate; these models are now $50 on campmor). I've used it three times since then, two nights in heavy rain, and it was fantastic -- and I haven't even seam-sealed it yet. It has a 6'+ height clearance inside, and I think a 9x12 footprint. Two doors. Also seems very durable. Big enough for my gf, me, and two large dogs. Plus all our gear. Not for backpacking, car camping only.
If you want a backpacker, I'd check out Eureka, REI, Sierra Designs, etc.

Correction on that Eureka vendor I mentioned above; I bought a couple of Big Agnes pads from ccoutdoors; I believe I bought the Eureka from an Amazon vendor.
