Merrell Chameleon II Stretch testimonial
Well today I went on the same hike I did a month ago, this time with my new Merrell's. Last time I went with just regular new balance running shoes. At the end of the canyon, there is a dry waterfall. The rock is very slippery and the first time I went, when I tried to scramble up it I slipped so much.
Well today, same hike, same slippery rock and I was able to walk up without any difficulty. Same conditions and everything. Only thing that was different was the shoes. So for anyone doubting whether it's worth it to buy expensive hiking shoes with the Vibram rubber soles, I can honestly say that it's definitely worth the money!

Re: Merrell Chameleon II Stretch testimonial
Well I guess this is rare, but I took back my Chameleon II Stretch shoes today after owning them for less than two months. The very front of the sole, where it goes up the front of the toe had started peeling off already. I suppose I could just glue it down again, but I shouldn't have to do that on a $100 pair of shoes. So I took them back and tried on so many shoes. Of course the Merrell's still had the most comfort, so I ended up buying the Moab Ventilator Mid shoes. They don't look as cool as the Chameleon II Stretch, but they offered the same amount of comfort. Anyone else own these?
