merrell shoe opinion

a few years ago, i bought a pair of merrell chameleon rush shoes. i had no idea what they were, and i was only concerned with the fact that they actually had a high enough arch support to do me any good. i was just wondering what they would be best suited for now that i'm actually doing some backpacking and hiking. merrell doesn't make this model of shoe anymore, but they are very similar to their other chameleon shoes. thanks guys

I remember having this shoe. If these are several yrs old consider new shoes/boots before hitting the trail... the weight of a pack + distance + worn footbed and treads may = foot & leg pain. I have high arches too and my favs are Merrell, Dunham & Salomon. An outdoor retailer who knows their shoes can help you find what works.

they're a few years old, but i didn't use them very much. they didn't really match my look at the time, so they still feel brand new. thanks for the other options for high arches, though
