Jack-Wolfskin
Is there anywhere in the US where you can get Jack-Wolfskin apparel? I'm looking for a Black Magic Jacket size large but it looks like it's only available in Europe.

NO-the company website lists no US or Canadian distributors, only Europe, Russia, Japan and Korea. Not sure why-maybe they feel there's too much competition here. Your best bet may be to buy what you want from a UK online retailer.

Re: Jack-Wolfskin
Does anyone know of a company with American distribution that makes a similar jacket to the Jack-Wolfskin Black Magic. Basically a soft shell with a super highloft fleece interior?
Thanks!

Interesting that you would say that Jack Wolfskin has no US stores selling their gear. They are a division of Johnson Worldwide Associates, a US-based company that includes Old Town Canoes, Silva compasses (US and North American distribution), Mitchell fishing gear, Eureka and Camp Trails gear, and ScubaPro and SnorkelPro dive gear. Although Wolfskin is a German company (purchased by JWA some years ago), they are imported to the US by JWA. I have seen them in stores, mostly the more general sporting goods stores rather than the specialty outdoor shops. JWA currently goes under the corporate name of Johnson Outdoors.
