Tent Recommendations?

First time posting on the forum, so please bear with me if this question is all too familiar.

Buying my first tent for my ladyfriend and I. Nothing crazy really, I just want something reliable, quality for the price, and effective.

I was thinking of 3 specific models;

Eureka! Pinnacle Pass
Kelty Gunnison
REI Half Dome

Of these 3, does any one of them stand out? Does anyone have a favorite? Is there a comparable model from another company?

Let me know and thanks in advance for the help!

Re: Tent Recommendations?

Here's my suggestion: The Cabela's XPG Deluxe two person tent. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20075-cat20103&id=0024830516319a&navCount=2&podId=0024830&parentId=cat20103&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20103&hasJS=true

I recently purchased one and am currently putting mine to good use at Walnut Woods State Park here in central Iowa. This tent is amazing! Holds up to strong winds (right now central Iowa is being buffeted with winds in the high 20's-40 mph range). Tent is holding up very well. I staked it down well and always use the included guy-lines. Plus I love all the mesh on the tent body. Very comfortable. Perfect for two people. Expect the Cabela's level of quality and durability, which is very good. And before I forget, do get the optional "footprint". It will save the tent floor from premature wear and tear.

Just my recommendation.

I wish you the Best! :)
