Sleeping bags - LaFuma vs Western Mountaineering
I am looking to buy my first down sleeping bags (summer weight) and have always been focused on the Western Mountaineering Mitylite. I have only heard positive opinions on the WM bags, but realize that they are rather pricey. Recently I was told about the LaFuma Warm 'n Light 600 bag. The price is significantly lower on the LaFuma bag. Since I tend to have my equipment for a long time, I am not averse to spending more money for a quality product, but if something for 1/2 the cost can fit the bill, then that would be great. I read good reviews of both products, so I was just wondering if anyone has an opinion on the quality of LaFuma overall.
TIA,

LaFuma makes good quality gear for sure, but in my experience there's nothing like a WM bag. Feathered friends also makes some great bags, but I find that except for when you get below 0 degree ratings (the -25 FF Ptarmigan is not to be beat) WM has the edge.

I agree and would add, based on owning/using WM,FF, and these others, that Integral Designs bags are equal to WM and the Valandre Shocking Blue is superior.
This is the BEST down bag I have EVER had and that is quite a few, it is superb.
Between Lafuma and WM, I would choose WM and have an Alpinlite Super, which I am totally happy with.

The two best american made bags are Western Mountaineering and Feathered Friends.Comparing either of these to Lafuma is like apples and oranges...you cant.
