3 season tent

Hi. I want to buy a 3 season tent and I thought about the Seedhouse2 (Big Agnes).
it is lite, have good vintelation, and it fit my budget.
(200$ on moosejaw).
However, the fly and floor have only 1500mm water resistant, while other tents (and heavier) can hold 5000mm rain. the poles are from Aluminium but not the DAC fetherlite which is obligatory to the new tents...
so I fear Im buying someting a bit out of date. TNF tadpole23 for example have good water resistant fly and floor, and DAC fetherlite poles. but it does have bad reviews and is heavier.(and cost more)

my question is: does my fears regarding the Seedhouse are baced, or is it really a good tent that can hold medium showers and winds? Im thinking about the Indian Himalaya in Julie-October and regular 3 seasons hikes back home.

The other tents I thought about was Marmot Twilight, MH Viperine, and Kelty Grand Messa.
I would apritiate your'e opinion

Re: 3 season tent

I have a Tadpole 23 and I'm not sure what the reviews say, but it is an awesome tent. Never leaks, with the only issue being the stakes it came with. I replaced them with the MSR Groundhog Stake and my tent won't move. It might be somewhat of a squeeze if you are on the larger side or with a partner, but for those shorter trips or for a solo tent, the tent is incredible.

thanks for the reply. I guess different people see different things. I personaly want a lighter tent (but not too lite, since it mean generaly more $$$ ).
but what about those waterproof numbers? should I be worried from leak in a 1500 mm coating?

These all-mesh tents aren't fun in winds. Dust and grit go right through the mesh. I prefer lesser-mesh tents such as the Sierra Designs Electron. I got all the quality at half the price of Big Agnes or Marmot tents.
