Where are you going in NZ? I spent a fair amount of time there and rarely used my tent. I stayed in huts most of the time. The walking tracks usually have huts and so do many commercial campgrounds.
I have no personal experience with either of these tents, but I do know this-the weather in NZ can turn bad very quickly; expect to get some rain at some point in time if you are in the mountains on the South Island. November is Spring; there may be snow some places you go, which is why staying in huts is a good idea.
The Marmot tent looks good to me. Don't forget, the rain fly would be on the Hubba Hubba most of the time-or should be, all things considered. They both are a bit heavy for solo camping, but as long as you aren't taking too much else, not the worst choices.
Make sure you have good rain gear and some kind of fleece or similar insulation-I used fleece pants and a wool pullover I bought there. Today,I would take the same pants and a fleece jacket, plus rain gear. I also would bring a multi-fuel stove. I wound up burning some kind of methylated spirits in mine when I couldn't find anything else-not recommended, by the way, but it worked. This was years ago, so things like canisters for gas stoves might be more available, but a lot of small towns may not have camping supplies.
