Awesome!

What's funny to me, is that there is a real guy out there shooting these videos. Can you imagine stumbling upon him in his skivvies wearing that pack?

For anyone who missed it, we put up this earlier Archwood video last year: http://www.trailspace.com/blog/2009/02/25/archwood-flextrek-37-trillion.html

I'm wondering if that's really Trouthunter in the video :)

with that type of flexibility, I wonder if it could be used to traverse streams as well.. just lean over and let everyone walk across the pack!

You guys think this is just a joke. The photo below is of the standard pack used for resupply of the Presidential Range huts, specifically in this case, the Lake of the Clouds hut. Some of the frames used are even taller. The loads that are carried for the resupply are usually in the 50-70 pound range.

This keeps the load more nearly centered over your c.g. and allows you to stand up straight. It works pretty well on reasonably good trails like you find in the Presidentials - just don't pick trails with low-hanging branches!

Wow, I think all should own one of those! That video was hilarious....especially the PVC with duct tape. What was up with the dude in the speedo? Anyways, nice link!
