A home movie shot in 1940 North Rim GCNP
This is a home movie I found that was shot in 1940 from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It is 16:27 minutes long, with no sound but looks very much like something shot today. Shot in 16 mm Koda.

Neat video Gary. It reminded me of my visit there in 1968. My wife and I camped in the South Rim national park about a week. It is nice to remember the clothes people wore and the lack of crowds.

Very nice footage. Reminded me of my dad. He always took us south to these areas. Lots of memories. Thanks.

Thanks for the video... I really enjoyed it. And as Frazier pointed out.... can remember seeing someone wearing a Tie and slacks to go hiking... But you never know, what was once old often becomes new. I'll be checking REI from them next year.... :)

Thanks for posting. I like the lady walking on the trail in a dress & heels too.
