Check out these guys using PackRafts on the Colorado River earlier this month. First they ahd to drive and rappel down a side canyon. Looks like fun!

That looks like a blast!!!! I would do that in a heartbeat!!! Then agian my first apartment when I was in college I got in trouble for rapelling of the balcony...What can I say my friend and I were bored and young....But that was cool...

I will have to check those vids out when I am at home (can't watch at work) I and a friend ran the North Fork of the cumberland back in Novemeber, which was really great, but a little chilly :)

The rafts they are using weigh just 5 lbs and pack as small as a sleeping bag. Check out the link above to the manufacturer.
