Well, you can't read the logo, but here I am with may daughter on Henriksåsen, the 6th of 7 designated hilltops in Trondjems Tursitforening's "Topp 7" event. Nominally 30 kilometers and over 1100 meters of ups and downs, go at your own speed and get nice t-shirt if you fnish. We were hoping to do it in under 4 hours, but it rained all day and a lot of the route was really muddy and/or off trail, so it was impossible to run even on some of the downhill sections -- so we did it in 4:20. And my Trailspace runner's cap was on my head the whole time...

Well I'm impressed. 30 km in 4:20, wow! Me and my wife just walked the same thing here in Bodø "7-topp turen" in over 5 hours, but we had lunch and talked to friends on the way. Sorry I did not take any pics. Really a bit impressive that in a town of about 50000 as many as 4000 participated and finished the 7-topp-tur. Our tour was 26km, about 900m up/down.

Maybe its the Trailspace cap that does the trick :)  must get me one some day soon.

I think about 2400 registered for Topp7, but some of those only did shortened versions with 5 or 2 tops. So on a per capita basis, Bodø is way more sporty than Trondheim!

Thank you BigRed on behalf of the town. Like with you most of the participants choose a shorter version, we have two loops of 10km and 2800 did these, 1200 did the long 26km tour. One correction just, the height difference according to the map was 1260m, not 900 as I guessed.

An amazing accomplishment for you and your daughter!  Thanks for bringing your hat along for the ride!

It was also with me when I did "Storsylen Opp" last Saturday, a friendly race up a 1700 m peak right on the Swedish border, total climb about 1000 meters, total distance 11 or 12 km, with the last 2km brutally steep and rocky. I was second in the men's 50+, but only because there were only three of us -- one guy was 1 minute behind me, the other fully 15 minutes ahead of me. I finished in about 1:50, the overall winner in about 1:11 -- but that was Niklas Dyrhaug, a top xc skier. So maybe not so bad for an old goat. Here's the finish-photo, not much detail on the hat:
