Why are some of the highlines called a prototype and what were the colors released. Which exactly are prototypes and why exactly are some called prototypes?

Some are prototypes or samples because they were released kind of like a test market prior to the full release. most of these were distributed at sales shows or sample sales at the Cali outlet. The sample will have the same color back all the ay down, while the non sample will have a black lower portion of the back.
