I have not been out for a hike in months. We spent the last month moving to a new house, up on Stumphouse Mountain. It's only about 6 miles from where we lived in Walhalla. We are now in Mountain Rest, SC. I really love the place, an old farm house. Looking out the back door you see the Sumter National Forest and not much else.

I know where Stumphouse Mnt. is, have you hiked there in the past?

Yes we have Trout, Yellow Branch Falls is on the right and the Rail Road Trail is on the left. That area is a youth game managment area, or someone 65 yrs old can hunt there. We have seen lots of turkey sign and one gobbler on the trail. So this year I can hunt there. Figured you would know where Stumphouse was. Take care...
