Hi,
I'm coming over from England in August to do some trails in the NW and was hoping to rent some kit (tent/stove) rather than bring it all from the UK.
Does anyone know of places that rent gear in Seattle?

Hi there...
I don't live in Seattle... but you might want to check with local Universities in the area. Most Universities and colleges that have a phys. ed. department rent gear during the summer. Its usually a lot cheaper than shops that rent.

The largest backpacking supplier in the Seattle area is
REI (www.rei.com); they rent from their stores.
Also check www.wta.org (Washington Trails Association)
for local hiking information.
