Care to join me and a friend in the Parunuweap?

In late September/early October a friend and I are hiking and camping along the Parunuweap Canyon in southwestern Utah.

When are you going? I have 30 September- October 3rd off. Not sure how long of a trip you were planning on.

Would be about that long. Its the end of September and a few days the beginning of October.

Here are some highlights of the Parunuweap in Sept 2008

A winding area of the Barracks

Ivy grew in some of the side canyons

My friend jumped in

A deep and narrow area, was up to my waist

Indian petrigyphs

A slot like section above

The creek narrows as the beginning of the Barracks starts

This is thr red sandstone country surrounding the Barracks

Above was a quicksand area in Sept 2008

This is near the entrance to the canyon. Hwy 89 cuts across the grey hill in the middle of the shot
