Upper Ribbon Falls in the Grand Canyon

Some of you who have hiked the Grand Canyon may have been to Ribbon Falls along the North Kaibab Trail. But not many get to the Upper Ribbons Falls area. See map for directions to get to the upper falls. Click on the map for a larger image. Ribbon Creek Canyon is in the center of the map. The North Kaibab trail runs down the right side.

There is also a way to whats called Upper upper Ribbon Falls shown on the map above. But the U.u. Falls are often dry. There is a second spring that flows into Ribbon Canyon that feeds the lower two falls. I have only seen U.u.Ribbon Falls running once from snow melt in the late winter off the North Rim.
