Gonna be heading out to the shawnee at the end of october. Probaly gonna stick near garden of the gods area. not really familier with other parts of the forest.

 


any info would be great!

you should do some checking around for the trails at bell smith springs in shawnee. Very beautiful especially if there has been rain. There is 2 reall big waterfalls, one of the 5 biggest natural arches east of the mississippi that you can actuall hike on top of by climbing a series of steel rungs driven into the rock face or there is a trail that will take you on top of it. Also check out Rim Rock there is a real nice trail system there as well. if you have any questions let me know we were there back in early august and would definately go back.

yes!! They all have rather large parking areas.
