Good stuff, those rock formations are really cool. I love that photo of the Five Lined Skink, doing the classic "I kill you!" bite, LOL!

Ha yeah I found a ton of herps down there. I'm a big reptile fan so Southern Illinois is heaven for me!

Say, Tired...

I love the sheer rock pics--I've not hiked in that area before and didn't realize how "sculptured" the rock formations were.  The trail along the faultline was especially inviting.  I can tell you love the sport, winter or no.  Thanks for the contribution!

Thanks friend. I'm actually going for a winter hike today! Hopefully it will cure my hiking anxiety.

Very nice photos!

Thanks for posting, now I'm wanting to hike amongst the mossy rocks even more (I live on the coast of SC) maybe soon.

Nice Five Line Skink and Magicicada (periodical Cicada),  great shot of the little waterfall (9th photo) and of the person (you?) on the rock ledge / cleft!

I'm glad you got to visit such a cool place.

Great Photos, and area!  I was going to ask it that was a Cicada, now I guess I know, big bug!

Love those rock formations and all the green.  I bet it very cool after a heavy rain with the water and the rocks.
