Two weeks ago, I went with my friends, Nancy and JoAnn, to the Torrey Pines State Reserve in La Jolla, CA. Nancy lives in San Diego, so JoAnn and I came to visit her from SC. We had a great time!

We took the Beach Trail and went to Razor Point, Flat Rock, Yucca Point and the beach.

As if Torrey Pines State Reserve wasn't epic enough, here are some scenes from the rest of our day in the La Jolla/San Diego Area:

We also went to to Green Flash, Karl Strauss, and Yardhouse breweries. Whew! What an epic day!

Thanks, I would like to know if you paid for parking or not, I haven't tried this place yet because I didn't feel like looking for a parking spot.  Great pictures.

Thanks, Mike! I am pretty sure that it was $12 to enter the park, but it is totally worth it. The pictures don't even do it justice.

I am a san diego county resident and I have never been there. the parking is just too much of a hassle. I guess if you get there early enough it isn't though.

Great photos Ashleigh! So different from the areas I frequent...

wow you'll hit some travel miles this year huh? two times from east coast to west coast and back is extreme (for me anyway)

I guess the weather interupted the Roan?

Thanks, Pat! Yeah that is definitely not usual for me. I guess it's going to be an epic month!

We made it to Roan and back already! It was amazing! Everything was so green. We definitely got some crazy weather, but it was actually nice! I am testing a tent and we got some 25-30 mph winds and rain. Perfect tent testing weather! :)

@Gonz,

It was so fun! The whole trip was awesome. The other days didn't involve any hiking activities, but they were equally fun! The beaches in San Diego County are amazing. So different than they are here on the east coast.

@Sage,

The weather was amazing the entire trip. We had nothing but blue skies, sunshine, and mild temperatures. Summer has officially arrived here in SC (90's and humidity), so I was very happy to visit San Diego where it was in the high 60's-low 70's!
