Fires Creek Rim Trail

I have just competed a 25.5 mile loop along the Fires Creek Rim Trail in Nantahala National Forest.

The ridgetop hiking experience provides spectacular views, solitude and a rewarding outdoor experience in a unique area.

The first night I spent looking over the village lights of Andrews NC while enjoying total solitude.

The second night I spent near Tusquittee bald again in total solitude.

This trail is truly a hidden gem in the NC National Forest system.
